2011 Race Impact
Last year, 2011, the inaugural 1 in 8k Moore for the Cure was able to send on over $29,000 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®! In addition, we had over 500 participants in our first ever event.
Since the 2011 event, FirstHealth of the Carolinas (in partnership with the Moore Free Care Clinic and Pinehurst Radiology) was awarded a grant for $68,000 from the local Susan G. Komen Affiliate to provide free Screening Mammograms and follow-up care to Moore County women who cannot afford it!

Thanks so much for a great event!!! Thanks to everyone who participated, all of our wonderful volunteers and our generous sponsors.
Our turn-out was amazing, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather.
Remember, that everyone who participated in the 8k today received 50 Participation Points towards the Sandhills Race Series – Fall Series.
