1k Run / Walk (approx. 0.6 Miles)

When: Saturday, September 8, 2012 – 10:30 a.m.
Where: Start / Finish will be in the Village of Pinehurst, near the Given Memorial Library. The Race Staging area will be behind The Village Chapel.
The 1k Fun Run / Walk course is perfect for those who want to participate in the 1 in 8k, but prefer a shorter distance, families with small children, children in strollers and even pets!
The course takes you through the beautiful Village of Pinehurst. By registering for the 1k Fun Run/Walk you are also able to help fundraise for Susan G. Komen for the Cure® – NC Triangle to the Coast Affiliate.
In addition, any registered runner / walker from the 8k may also participate in the 1k Fun Run / Walk at no additional charge. This allows for additional encouragement for those who are completing the 1k Fun Run / Walk.
Timing
The 1k Fun Run / Walk will not be timed. There will be a digital clock at the Start / Finish line for those who wish to see their time in the 1k Fun Run / Walk.
Do I need to pay a 25.00 registration fee for the 1k family walk? Thank you!
Thanks for your interest in the race. We do ask that all participants register and pay the $25.00 registration fee. We will guarantee that you will receive a race t-shirt.
